Obituary of Elmer Dixon
The death of Elmer Roy Dixon husband of Marlene (Hippenstall) occurred on April 16, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Albert County on January 20, 1935, he was the son of the late Freeman and Clara (Cleveland) Dixon. He is also survived by his daughters Dianne, Margaret (Jerry), Lois, Misty (Cameron); sons Tommy (Roxy), Michael (Chantelle), William (Violet); sisters Pauline, and Phyllis. Elmer will also be missed by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Elmer was predeceased by his grandson Jay Jay; brother Trueman; and sisters Leona, and Donna. Elmer was a fisherman his whole life, he enjoyed hunting, camping, travelling, scouting, and trapping. He had a big heart and his generosity and kindness will be missed. Resting at Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John West (634-1701) with visiting on Wednesday, April 18 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday April 19 from 2 to 4, and 7 to 9p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday April 20 at 11 a.m. at Castle Funeral Home. The interment will follow at the Christ Church Anglican Cemetery, Bloomfield, with a reception at the Bloomfield Hall. The family would like to thank the staff at the Saint John Regional Hospital for their care and kindness. Donations in Elmer's name may be made to the Canadian Diabetes association.
