Obituary of Glendon Caulfield
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Glendon Rayburn Caulfield “Snooks” on October 11, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Glendon is predeceased by his son, Carmen (2010), parents Urban and Mabel (Porter) Caulfield, and four brothers: Waldo, Dunrae, Carmen, and most recently his closest brother Milton “Toad”. Glendon is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Elouise (Page), his daughter Anne, son in law Roy LeBlanc, and two granddaughters Cheryth and Tara LeBlanc. Glendon lived a full life and had just celebrated his 94th Birthday; he was born on October, 4th 1919. Besides his family, to whom he was devoted, Glendon enjoyed the outdoors and was most at home on his woodlot cutting wood, or in his vegetable garden. A reserved gentleman, Glendon was a wonderful neighbor, the community “grandfather” and a faithful friend. Glendon served 42 years of employment with the Canadian Pacific Railway as a telegraph operator and station agent, most notably at Westfield Station. Visitation will take place at the Grand Bay Baptist Church 77 Woolastook Dr. Grand Bay-Westfield, NB E5K 1S3 on, October 18th 2013, 1:00-2:30pm. Funeral service will follow at 2:30pm. A reception will take place in the church hall. Interment will follow the reception at Mount Hope Cemetery. The family request donations to be made to Glendon’s home church Grand Bay Baptist Church, the Canadian Bible Society, The Gideons, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
