Obituary of N. Heffernan

Heffernan, Nadine “Marie” HeffernanThe death of Mrs. N. Marie (German) Heffernan, wife of G. Peter Heffernan occurred on August 2, 2011 at Bobby’s Hope House. Born in Hamilton on January 30, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Arthur H. and Blanche R. (Tilbury) German. Marie was the Past President of the Parish Council, Monday Morning Prayer Group, Associate of Sisters of Charity, Church Choir, and Assumption Ladies Book Club. She also ran the Food Bank out of her house in the “80’s. Marie was a wonderful wife to her husband Peter, and loving mother to her children Michael (Cathy) Heffernan and Lisa Heffernan, and her grandchildren Jessica Connelly-Heffernan and Tim McInnis. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a son Gerald Patrick Heffernan. By request, there will be no visiting at the funeral home. The family will receive visitors at Our Lady of the Assumption Church from 11 am until 12 noon on Friday. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 12 noon from the church. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Following the interment a reception will follow at the Fallsview Family Reception Centre.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marie to Bobby’s Hope House would be appreciated by her family.
