Obituary of Evelyn May Bastarache
Evelyn May Bastarache passed away peacefully on Thursday October 15, 2015 at the Loch Lomond Villa. Born February 25, 1919 she was the daughter of the late George and Julia (Snelgrove) Lunergan. Evelyn was a patron at the senior’s center at the city market, an avid ballroom dancer and enjoyed dancing at the Marina in Ketepec and the Colonial Inn. Evelyn was the last surviving member of her Immediate Family. She was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #2 and #69. She will be sadly missed by son John (Margaret) of GrandBay-Westfield, NB; daughter Nancy (Nelson) Adams, Margo (Jerry) McCluskey and Brenda (Neil) Keller all of Saint John, NB; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren ; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents she was predeceased by husband Arthur; brothers John, Ron, Albert; sisters Mary, Muriel, Viola and Pearl; grandson Kevin and granddaughter Lori. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701). Visitation will be held on Friday October 16, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. & 6:00–8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Castle Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday October 17, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, reception will be held at Fallsview Reception Center. Donations in Evelyn’s memory can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
