Obituary of Eric Vautour
VAUTOUR, Eric Joseph - It is with sadness the family announces the unexpected passing of Eric Vautour. He passed away on August 14, 2012 at the S.J.R.H. after a brief illness. Eric was born in St.Charles, NB on September 11, 1941. He was the son of the late Alyre and Irma Vautour. He is survived by his loving wife of 51years Rita (Babineau) Vautour. His daughters, Debbie (Gary) Cyr, Saint John, Charlene (Kevin) Downs, Bedford, NS and Claudette (Michael) Downing, Saint John. Grandchildren, Robyn, Rebecca, Sarah, Erica, Adam, Jamie and Thomas. Sisters, Lorraine Ouellette, Edithe Vadnais, Germaine (Jean) Levesque, Louise Vautour, Marguerite (Alphee) Arsenault, Maria (Edouard) LeGeoff Brothers, Adolpohe (Maria), Ovila (Lorraine), Rene (Germaine), Camille (Donalda), Yvon (Joyce). Sister-in-Laws Linda and Emerise, and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers, Joseph , Leo Paul, Arcade and sister Imelda Eric was a retireed employee of Irving Equipment where he work for 41 years. He will be missed by his cats Chip and Peppy. Eric was a devoted family man and enjoyed life to the fullest, spending time with family was his life, especially his grand-children. Eric had many hobbies, fixing cars, bowling, hunting, golfing, spending time at his trailer at TNT Campground, music, dancing and playing the spoons. In his younger years he was an active Lancaster hockey and ball sportsman. He was an active member of the 4th degree of the K of C #6770 and an honoray member of the 30 Up Club. Arrangements are entrusted to Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John West, (634-1701). Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 16, 2012 and Friday, August 17, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. from St. Rose of Lima Church. Donations may be made to the Saint John Regional Hospital “Cardiac Unit” and the Saint John SPCA. Online condolences may be placed at www.castlefh.com
