Obituary of Edgett Dean W.
Surrounded by his family Dean Weyman Edgett went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Thursday July 16, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in 1941 in Riverside Albert, NB he was the son of the late Francis and Ruby (Wilbur) Edgett. Dean spent 15 years with the Royal Canadian Air Force as a photographer then as a Master Corporal before beginning his long and successful career as a Sales Representative with Kenworth Trucks and Allstate Insurance. Dean loved traveling throughout Canada and the United States with his wife Elizabeth and spending the winters in Florida. Together they spent the last 25 years traveling and raising support for Kingswood University. Dean loved his family and had such pride in all of their accomplishments. He dedicated his life to serving Jesus and anyone could see that by how he lived each day. Dean will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 53 years Elizabeth (Saunders) Edgett; son David (Marsha) Edgett of Moncton, NB; daughter Heather (Chad) Nesrallah of Ottawa, ON; brother Francis Edgett of Moncton, NB; sister-in-law Doreen Thorne of Fredericton, NB; granddaughters Madison Edgett and Ashley Burchel, several nieces and nephews, and all the “kids” who found themselves under their wings and moved into their hearts. Besides his parents, Dean was predeceased by son Allan Edgett; father and mother-in-law Murray and Marjorie Saunders; and sister-in-law Greta Edgett. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses on the Rehab Unit at the George Dumont Hospital in Moncton, NB and the staff on the Oncology Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital for the compassionate care that was shown to Dean during his stay. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB (506-634-1701). Visitation will be held at Moncton Wesleyan Church (945 St. George Blvd, Moncton, NB) on Monday July 20, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. A Celebration Service will be held from Moncton Wesleyan Church on Tuesday July 21, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. As requested family flowers only please. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dean’s memory can be made to the Kingswood University, Moncton Christian Academy or Moncton Wesleyan Church.
