Obituary of Ronald Smith

Smith, Ronald Mayes It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mr. Ronald Mayes Smith husband of Patricia (Brennan) Smith of Saint John on March 20, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Ronald was born in Saint John on September 25, 1928. He is survived by his loving wife of twenty-four years Patricia, three children; Charlotte (Bernard) Joseph, Regina, SK, Ronald Thomas (Hazel) Smith, Saint John, Murray (Jeanette) Smith, two sisters; Florence Forbes and Olive Bryden, two brothers; Stewart Smith and Roy Thompson, ten stepchildren, and as Ron would say, “my extended family who loved him”, four grandchildren, Sheana, Loretta, Patricia Anne, and Ron,  and two great-grandchildren.   He will be sadly missed by all who loved him, especially by his one and only daughter Charlotte Joseph of Saskatchewan. Ron was predeceased by his first wife Jean WatsonRon had a great sense of humour, and loved being around the pool with the family.  Resting at Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John West (634-1701). Visitation will take place on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday at 11 from Castle “Fallsview Chapel”. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
