Obituary of Gail Melanson

It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of S. Gail Melanson which occurred on Friday November 25, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born December 30, 1945 she was the daughter of the late Murray and Ruby (Splane) Williams. Gail will be forever remembered by sons Jeffrey (Patti), Dale (Amy) and Dwayne (Meghan Jansen) all of Saint John, NB; sisters Joan Nason of Nova Scotia, Beverley (Larry) Lyons of Saint John, NB, Nancy Williams of Saint John, NB, Judy (Jamie) Logan of Saint John, NB; grandchildren Jake Melanson, Noah Melanson, Adam Melanson, Darren Melanson, Corey Melanson and Parker McEwen. Besides her parents Gail was predeceased by husband Robert “Mike” Melanson and brother Donald Williams. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701). There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church on Wednesday November 30, 2016 at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Reception will take place at Dennis Morris Community Center. Donations in Gail’s memory can be made to Bruce Melanson Scholarship Fund or Canadian Cancer Society.
