Obituary of Raymond Wallace
It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Raymond Wallace which occurred Friday April 21, 2017 at Saint John Regional Hospital. Born October 4, 1936 he was the son of the late Frederick and Deana (Leblanc) Wallace. Raymond worked for the Canadian Coast Guard for 25 years before retiring. Prior to joining the Coast Guard, Raymond was a paratrooper with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry. He had an ear for music and loved to play any song on the accordion. Raymond will be forever loved and remembered by son Stacy (Cathy) Wallace; daughters Betty (Roger) Wallace, Eva (Jim) McLeod, Norma (Dwayne) Burley; brothers James (Rose) Wallace, George Wallace; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Joseph was predeceased by wife Norma, sons Raymond and Douglas and daughter Elaine. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701). Visitation will be held on Monday April 24 & Tuesday April 25, 2017 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm & 6:00 - 8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church on Wednesday April 26, 2017 at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Donations in Raymond’s memory can be made to Kidney Foundation of Canada or Canadian Diabetes Association. www.castlefh.com
