Obituary of Zelda Pearl McPherson
In appreciation of a life well lived, the family of Zelda Pearl McPherson of Little Lepreau, announces her peaceful passing at Fundy Nursing Home at the age of 102. Born in St. Stephen, NB, on March 12, 1920,
Zelda was the daughter of the late Harley and Mildred (nee. Mahra) Travis.
Family was important to Zelda, and she took great pride in raising her three children. She was overjoyed when she became a grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great-grandmother.
Zelda is survived by her sons Leonard (Myrna) and Paul (Donna) McPherson; daughter Barbara (Gordon) Black; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Chester McPherson; parents Harley and Mildred Travis; brothers Robert and Winford Travis; and sisters Barbara Wadlin and Madeline Hazlett.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1701). In respect of Zelda’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral. A graveside service will take place in the spring of 2023 at Maces Bay Community Cemetery.
