Join us in celebrating the life of Oupie Roberts on what would have been his 63rd birthday; Saturday August 19, 2023. Drop by to share memories, laughs, and enjoy some refreshments & music. The gathering will be held in the Veteran's Lounge, lower floor of the 69 Branch Legion (714 Wilson Street, Saint John, NB) beginning at 5:00 PM.

Surrounded by his loving family, Oupie passed away on December 15, 2022, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on August 19, 1959, in Saint John NB, he was the son of the late Harold and Dorothy (nee Long) Roberts.
A lifelong westsider, Oupie was well-known in the community. His family meant everything to him, and he was a very loyal friend. He loved fly fishing, horse racing, hockey (Go Devils!) and spent many years playing pool, especially enjoying pool trips to Vegas. He graduated from Vocational School and went on to become a Power Engineer where he worked at Maritime Paper for 35 years and did not take one sick day.
Oupie is survived by his loving partner Karen Cleghorn; son Andrew (Melissa Lee) Roberts; daughter Kasey (Mike Howlett) Roberts; granddaughters Cameron and Claire; sister Bonnie Beyea (late Stephen); brother Harold Roberts; nieces Angela Kierstead (Nathan) and Jennifer Meekins; and nephews Raymond and Aaron Bolduc.
He was predeceased by his parents, sister Gail Roberts, and infant sister Lynn.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1701). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Donations in Oupie’s memory can be made to the donor’s choice.
