Obituary of Thomas (Tommy) Robert Cobham
With appreciation of a life well lived, the family of Thomas Robert Cobham announce his peaceful passing on January 12, 2023, at the Carleton Kirk Lodge. Born in Saint John, NB on February 1, 1946, he was the son of the late Frank Cobham.
Tommy was a kind man with a big heart and a fabulous sense of humor. He enjoyed making his family and friends smile and laugh. Growing up in an orphanage Tommy faced many difficulties at a young age. However, he never let those challenges stop him from growing up to be a successful man with a loving family. He worked as a Longshoreman for over 40 years at the ILA Local 273 making a good living that he was proud of. Tommy would entertain his wife, children, grandchildren, and friends by singing and playing the guitar, or dancing around to some music. He was a one-of-a-kind man who left us with great stories to share for years to come.
Tommy is survived by his children: Valerie Cobham (Max Wilson), Robbie Cobham (Anne), Josh Cobham, and Shayna Long; stepchildren Annette Bourque-Blackquiere (Ron), and Nancy Bourque (Denis); grandchildren: Amanda (Tim) Robichaud, Jared Cobham, Alex Cobham, Brianna Long, Riley Long, and Bentley Cobham; great grandson Corbin Robichaud; brother Wesley (Patsi) Cobham; sisters: Patsy Guimond, Barbara Ferron, Joanne (Bernie) Krall, and Norma Justason; sister-in-law Helen Cobham; as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is predeceased by his loving wife Pauline Bourque-Cobham, brothers: Albert, Edward, and Donald Cobham; sister Pamela Cobham; brother-in-law Ozzie Guimond; and sisters-in-law Loretta and Elizabeth Cobham.
The family would like to thank Tommy’s special friend Judy Bartlett, and the staff at Carleton Kirk, for their excellent care and compassion. Your support and kindness will never be forgotten.
