Obituary of Catherine (Cathy) Ann Long
It is with sadness in our hearts that the family of Catherine “Cathy” Ann Long (nee Ruseff) announce her sudden passing on January 26th, 2023, at the age of 60 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by loving husband and lifelong partner Michael Long; children: Ryan (Heidi), Andrew (Emily), and Katie (Andrew Armstrong); her five grandchildren that she loved so much: Alex, Zoey, Freddie, Isla, and Sophie; missed dearly by her sisters Mary Jo (Danny) and Lana (Gary); as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Cathy was predeceased by her parents Ronald and Catherine Ruseff.
Cathy was a quiet and reserved person, that would let her good sense of humour show with a well-timed comment. She loved taking care of others and always put family ahead of herself, having stayed home to raise her three children before restarting her career later in life at Source Atlantic. More recently, Cathy was a loving ‘grammy’ to her grandchildren during sleepovers, family gatherings, and extracurricular events.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1701). Visitation for Cathy will be on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at the Castle Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Cathy’s memory can be made to Bobby’s Hospice. For those who wish, online condolences can be made by visiting www. Castlefh.ca
