Obituary of Norman Arthur Bogle

Norman Arthur Bogle, passed away May 26, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on September 21, 1950, in New Jerusalem, he was the son of the late Arthur and Doreen (Galbraith) Bogle.

Norman is survived by his children Tracy Bogle, Saint John, Letisha Eastwood (Chris), Saint John, Brent Bogle, Edmonton. His siblings, Carolyn (Ronnie) Morgan, Saint John, Linda (Keith) Ryan, Quispamsis, JoAnne (Lloyd) Downton, Hoyt, Jean (Mike) Cave, Rothesay, and Wayne Bogle, Browns Flat. His aunt and uncle Lloyd and Gladys Galbraith. As well as by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.

Norman was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Doreen Bogle, and his older brother Harvey Bogle.

Norman was a graduate of Vocational High School and was in the army reserves also during those years. Throughout his life he worked at Ocean Steel, Fundy Fish, Johnson’s Lumber Mill, drove truck, and worked out in the woods. He was a member of Branch 87 Legion and the Greenwich Fire Department.

Norman was a big fan of hockey and coached teams in Saint John for a few years. His love of baseball led to him coaching and playing on several teams in his life. He enjoyed bingo, cribbage tournaments, and darts.

Norman was an avid deer and moose hunter and spent his whole life enjoying that passion with family and friends.

Norman was a country boy through and through. His heart always was and will forever be where he called home, the Flat’s.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the Regional hospital, and Dr. O’Brien for their compassion and support throughout this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the River Road Hub in memory of Norman. A celebration of life will be at the River Road Hub in Browns Flats on June 1st, 2023, 2:00-4:00pm. Interment to follow at United Church Cemetery. Reception to follow at the River Road Hub.
