Obituary of DesNeiges Reicker

It is with great sadness and much love that the family of DesNeiges Reicker (Lanteigne) announce her passing on Sunday June 11 2023 at Bobby’s Hospice in Saint John,NB.

DesNeiges was born and grew up in Saint John, NB until she moved to Nauwigewauk in 1977 where she and her husband Wayne built their family home and have been there ever since. Over the years DesNeiges worked at several different secretarial jobs and then Managed the Great Canadian Dollar Store in Hampton where she retired from on December 01 2012, but her favourite job was being the best loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister & Friend you could ever want. 

She loved to be outside in her flower gardens enjoying the sun and pulling out those pesky weeds. She also loved spending time with her Family & Friends.

DesNeiges is survived by her loving Husband of 51 years Wayne Reicker of Nauwigewauk, NB, Daughter Michelle Reicker (Shane Paley) of Hampton, NB, Daughter Christina (Jamie) Moran of Hampton, NB, Granddaughter Kristen Reicker (Tyler Killam)of Nauwigewauk, NB, Sister Yvette (Mike) Lanigan of Saint John, NB, Sister in Law Barb Lanteigne of Saint John, NB, Brother in Law Gene Collins of Quispamsis, NB, Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Aunts and many special friends.

She is predeceased by her Mother and Father Nadia & Romeo Lanteigne, Brothers Roger, Cliff, & Vernon Lanteigne, Sister Little Yvette, Sister in Law Karen Lanteigne, Sister in Law Sharon Reicker, Mother in law Bernice Collins, Father in Law Marven Reicker.

DesNeiges was loved by many and will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her. 

Special thanks to all of the staff, nurses, doctors and volunteers at Bobby’s Hospice for the wonderful compassionate care you gave to our loved one.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1701). Visitation will be on Wednesday June 14, 2023, from 2-4 pm and 6-8pm. The Funeral will be the following day Thursday June 15 at 11:00am in the Falls View Chapel. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery afterwards and then a celebration of life will be at the Assumption Centre,  721 Chapel St, Saint John. For those who wish donations can be made in DesNeiges’ memory to Bobby’s Hospice, The Canadian Cancer Society or the SPCA.
