Obituary of John Robert Park
Surrounded by his loving family, John Robert Park passed away peacefully on July 20, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on August 22, 1958, in Saint John, NB, he was a son to William and Ella Mae (nee Richards) Park.
John is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Joanne Park (nee Cornfield); son Joshua (Jennifer) Park of Saint John, NB; daughter Melissa Park (Johnny) of Saint John, NB; mother Ella May Park of Saint John, NB; 2 grandchildren Addyson Ella and Ryker John Park; brother Brian (Lynn) Park of Ontario; sisters: Elizabeth (Donnie) McKinley, Linda Clark, Jo-Ann Park, and Susan Park all of Saint John, NB; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was predeceased by his father William Park, brother James Park, and sister Mary Busby.
John retired after a long career with Moosehead Breweries and was a Proud member of Local 362. John and his family in their younger years spent their free time at Pine Cone camping in Sussex where so many friends and memories were made.
John made friends everywhere he went especially at the West Side Shooters. His greatest joy was spending time with his two grandchildren.
Resting at Castle Fallsview Funeral Home (506) 634-1701 (309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John, NB) visitation for John will take place on Sunday, July 23, 2023, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 24, 2023, in the Castle Fallsview Chapel, beginning at 1:00 PM; interment will follow at Cedar Hill Extension. Reception to follow at Castle Funeral Home. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made in John’s memory to Addiction and Mental Health Services.
