Obituary of William Joseph Walton
William Joseph Walton, (Born July 4, 1955). Died August 21, 2023, the son of William Russell Walton and Bernice Violet Humphrey.
Survived by his loving son, Nathaniel William Jesse Walton.
Bill graduated from Saint John High School, class of 1973. Bill worked for K – Mart store 5409 Lancaster Mall for 10 years leaving just before they became a Zellers. After leaving Zellers, Bill worked a year in Sussex and the on to P.E.I for 4 years. Upon returning home to Saint John Bill worked for Wyndham Worldwide for 10 years starting in the hotel division and later moving to RCI. When they closed the RCI division in 2011, Bill started with Fairmont Hotels and Resorts Global Reservation Center (GRC). Bill considered this to be the best job he ever had, the company, the people, you could not ask for a better place to call home.
Bill enjoyed metal detecting and could often be seen at the local beaches and parks looking for lost coins and other treasure. Bill was also a keen Genealogist, amassing a huge database of 35,000 ancestors stretching back to 1540 Oxhill, Warwickshire England. Bill was a direct descendant of Jesse Walton the Loyalist settler at Beaver Harbour 1785.

The arrangements are under the care and direction of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John (634 1701). A graveside interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery (Sand Cove Rd.))on Saturday August 26, 2023 at 10:00 AM.
