Obituary of James Nathanial Conrad Roche
James ‘Jimmy’ Nathanial Conrad Roche passed away peacefully on October 22, 2023 at Bobby’s Hospice. Jimmy was born in Saint John, NB on April 29, 1966.
Jimmy spent most of his life at Little Acre Community Residence, where many fond memories were created. Jimmy loved listening to music, especially anything 70’s and Michael Jackson, which was his favourite.
Jimmy is survived by his siblings, caregiver and sister Candace Salkey and her husband Martin, several aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins, and best friends John Curran and Donald Leslie.
Jimmy and Candace enjoyed their adventures, especially loved going out for his favourite food (pizza), and always getting spoiled with other favourites like cheezies and peanut butter cups. Jimmy looked forward to family visits, events and BBQ’s.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Sherry Hastey, Little Acre Community Residence, Social Development, Dr. Jan Mohammad, Dr. Chandler, Dr. Michael, Extra-Mural, the Palliative Team and the staff at Bobby’s Hospice for their love, kindness and care given to Jimmy over the years and especially during his final days.
Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3, 506-634-1701. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 25th from 2pm - 4pm and 6pm – 8pm. A Graveside Service will be held in Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Thursday, October 26th at 11am. In lieu of flowers donations in Jimmy’s memory can be made to Bobby’s Hospice, Sistema New Brunswick or a charity of the donor’s choice.
