To Art's wife and family,
I knew Art when he lived on City Line St. On the Westside about 60 years ago. He was indeed everything described in his beautiful obituary even at that time. I have some very good memories of him from that time. I very much regret that from all that many years ago our paths did not cross again. I know that he would have remembered me from that time.
Please accept my most sincere condolences, he indeed was a good man.

Sheila and family, we send our profound condolences at this time. We worked with Leo at SJRCC. He was all the things you stated in his obituary, I recall the first day I met Leo (I just came back from service in the Navy and needed to curb my Sailor talk) Well Leo introduced me to a few new swear words I had never heard!! We shared many storied, jokes and laughs during our time together.
May you take comfort knowing we share in your loss and strength from our prayers.
Sincerely,
Paul & Rena Smith

I graduated from high school in Andover without a plan for the future. You convinced me to hop the train to Halifax where you were going to trade school. Within 4 weeks of arriving I landed a job at Moirs Chocolates where I worked for 38 years retiring in 2022.. Along the way I obtained my BSc at St Marys University.
On a blind date I met the love of my life, Roberta MacDonald. We married and had 3 beautiful children Sheri, Dale and Sheila. Sheila has blessed me with 2 granddaughters Evy and Nina.
Thank you for all you have done for me. I will miss you.

Dear Sheila and family, what a beautiful sharing of Art’s life.Reading all the beautiful memories, one would feel like they knew Art all his life.I remember Art and Bev from the Westfield Country Store ,where I would bump into them many times and hear some of Arts stories or a joke,This was back in the 80’s & 90’s, when Art and Bev worked at the Correctional Facility.I remember you Sheila, when I worked in the O.R.,at St.Joe’s. May all your beautiful memories, funny antics and Art’s stories embrace you with love and give you strength,in the days ahead .Heartfelt thoughts to all,Sincerely Madeline Peters-Paulin
