Obituary of Douglas Edgar Joseph Marks
In the hope and joy of the Resurrection, the family of Douglas Edgar Joseph Marks announce his passing into eternal life. His passing occurred on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born in Saint John, N.B. Doug was the beloved son of the late Mary (Bourque) Marks, and faithful husband of 42 years to Joan (Arseneau) Marks. Doug is survived by his wife Joanie, and daughter Mary Beth.
Doug worked for CN Railway for 35 years. A devoted husband and father, Doug loved to spend time in nature with Joanie at the Irving Nature park and Lily Lake. He was a quiet, patient, gentle man and a great man of faith who prayed the Rosary daily. He surrendered Himself completely to Jesus Christ, the meaning and fulfillment of His life, and now He returns to Him in glory.
