Obituary of Michael James Butler
It is with broken hearts the family of Michael James Butler would like to announce his passing on Sunday March 17, 2024, at his residence. Born in Saint John, N.B. on March 21, 1956, Michael was a son of the late Gerard and Nancy (George) Butler.
Michael played football in his younger years, and he was an active long time member of the Legion branch # 2. He enjoyed travelling to P.E.I. in the summer.
Michael is survived by one daughter; Michelle Butler (Dwayne Rogers), of Saint John, his three sisters; Nancy (Robert) Richardson, of P.E.I., Gloria (Rick) Rushton, of Quispamsis, Elizabeth “Betty” (Ian) Macdonald, of Rothesay, one aunt; Marion Fillmore,and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Michael was predeceased by his parents; Nancy and Gerard Butler, two brothers; Richard Butler; Lorin George, and niece; Shannon Butler.
The arrangements are under the care and direction of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B.(506 634 1701). Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held on Monday March 25, 2024, at 1:00 PM in Cedar Hill Ext. Cemetery. Donations in Michael's memory can be made to the N.B.
