Obituary of William Norman Wilson
It is with tremendous sadness the family announce the passing of William Norman Wilson, husband of R. Louise (Daly) Wilson on Friday April 5, 2024, at Bobby’s Hospice after a period of failing health. Born in Saint John, N.B. in 1932, Bill was the son of William Howard and Florine Edith Wilson.
Bill worked at the Irving Oil Refinery (ret. 1992), did our taxes until he was ninety, enjoyed golfing at Westfield Golf and Country Club and wintering in Florida for many years. On our bus tour of Australia, he proudly climbed Ayers Rock.
Bill is survived by his wife; R. Louise Wilson, and one sister; Carole Reid, of Lorneville, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, his sister Norma and his brother Gordon.
The arrangements are under the care and direction of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (506 634 1701). A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 11:00am to 1:00pm. A Memorial Service will be held at Castle “Fallsview” Chapel on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 1:00pm. A reception will be held at the Assumption Center following the service. Interment will take place in Lorneville “Seaview” cemetery in the spring of 2024. Donations to Bobby’s Hospice and the Assumption Church Building Fund in Bill’s memory would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be made at www. Castlefh.ca.
