Obituary of Claudia Marie Boucher
It is with sadness that the family of Claudia Marie Boucher announce her passing on May 7, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Rogersville, NB on November 14, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Tom and Mary (nee Petres) Gaudet.
Claudia is survived by her children: Diana (Brian) Gillis, Daniel Boucher, Thomas (Lorna) Boucher, and Joseph Boucher; one granddaughter Jennifer (Peter) Byers; great grandchildren Anderson and Maddox Byers; step grandchildren Donovan and Krista MacLean; step-great grandchildren: Sean, Sati, and Sophie Byers; bother Joe (Evelyn) Gaudet; sisters-in-law Ida (Tom – predeceased) Gaudet, and Aline (Eddie – predeceased) Gaudet; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Roger Boucher as well as her siblings: Leo (Elizabeth) Gaudet, Beatrice (Leo) Black, Edward (Albertiane) Gaudet, May (Joseph) Gionet; Emanuel (Regina) Gaudet, Evelyn (Gordon) Easson; Pauline (Gerry) Mazerolle, Tom Gaudet, and Eddie Gaudet.
Claudia was a wife, mother, aunt, sister, and nana. Claudia worked at Dr. Roberts Hospital and Key Industries which she enjoyed very much.
She loved dogs, cards, her great grandchildren, puzzles, and of course bingo. Being avid bingo player and she was known to be a frequent winner. Her volunteer work at Camp Goodtimes – a camp for kids with cancer – was something she loved doing and was very proud of.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home (506) 634-1701 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John NB. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, May 10, 2024, in the Castle “Fallsviews” Chapel beginning at 11:00 AM. A time of gathering will directly follow the service. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations in Claudia’s memory can be made to Bobby’s Hospice and Camp Goodtimes.
