Obituary of Debra Joan Greer
Debra “Debbie” Joan Greer, in her 71st year, of Public Landing, New Brunswick, died July 20, 2024, at home. She was born on September 28, 1953, to parents James “Leslie” Greer and Audrey Eilene Sunshine Porter in Saint John, New Brunswick.She had two daughters, Monica Mary (Albert-Greer) Mantai and Daphne Mary Albert (died in infancy). She worked as a transportation specialist and retired from the Edmonton Transit in 2010.
She was an avid gardener and loved the outdoors. She cherished family gatherings and enjoyed meeting up with friends to celebrate all their special occasions. She was always ready to give a helping hand where needed.
Debbie is survived by her daughter Monica Mantai (Darcy), sisters Patricia Seeds and Denise Forgey, brother Stephen Forgey, several nephews and nieces plus an abundance of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Leslie Greer and Audrey (Porter) Greer, sister Maxine Audrey Greer, brothers Leslie “Walter” Greer, Lawrance (Larry) Wayne Greer and daughter Daphne Mary Albert.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Castle Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (506 634 1701), Saint John, NB. There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held on Monday July 29, 2024, at 2:00pm at the Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorials or donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
