Obituary of Tommy Lawrence
William Thomas (Tommy) Lawrence suddenly passed away on August 3rd, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Tommy was born June 1st, 1959, in Saint John, New Brunswick to the late William Clifford Lawrence and Alice May (White).
Tommy was a devoted family man who loved the sea. He worked for Marine Atlantic on the Digby Ferry for a great many years and then for Harbour development for over 20 years. Tommy loved to tease his children and friends and his humor always stole the show at family gatherings and all around..
Tommy will be dearly missed by his wife Florence Carolyn (Davis) Lawrence; children, son Andrew Lawrence and daughter Andrea Lawrence; stepchildren, Jordan Ferguson and Brandon Ferguson; siblings, Gary (Sherry) Lawrence, Deborah (Rowan) Brooks, Janet (Michael) Brideau, and Susan (Darren Murray) Lawrence.
In addition to his parents, Tommy was predeceased by two sisters, Linda Dunn and Marilyn Crawford.
Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3, 506-634-1701. Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 8th, 2024, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at Castle Fallsview Chapel on Friday August 9th, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Interment will be held in Greenwood Cemetery. Donations to the N.B. Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
