Obituary of Tony Olsen
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Anthony “Tony” Curtis Olsen. He passed away peacefully with his children by his side on Saturday. 28, 2024 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born in Saint John, N.B. in 1954, Tony was a son of the late Reginald E. and Hilda Mae (Furrow) Olsen, and beloved husband to the late Verna Joy (Thornton) Olsen. (2005)
Tony was employed with the DFO Coast Guard, as an oiler/engineer in the Engine Room. He loved music, enjoyed laughing and sharing memories with friends and family. A self taught mechanic, he loved his cars. Tony worked hard and was a devoted husband and father, he will be missed.
Tony is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Olsen of Saint John; Jason (Tanya) Olsen of Sussex and one daughter, Melanie Olsen of Saint John. One sister, Rose Ann Oland of Saint John, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Tony was predeceased by his parents, Reginald and Hilda and his wife Joy.
Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. A visitation will be held on Thursday October 3, 2024, at Castle Funeral Home from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A funeral Service will be held in Castle “Fallsview” Chapel on Friday October 4, 2024, at 10:00am. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Ext. Cemetery. Donations in Tony’s memory can be made to the N.B. Heart and Stroke Foundation, Cancer Society, or Kidney Foundation. Online condolences can be made at www. Castlefh.ca
