Dear Judy , Janice and Family ; So sorry on the loss of your Mom ,she was one of the nicest ladies I've ever known ! Her energy was carried over to people all around her ! When my Dad was at Ridgewood , she always took the time to chat with him even when he couldn't respond ! People loved having her around and that's a precious gift she had and always shared ! Dear Judy and Family, It was wonderful to reconnect with Vi again lately at Parkland. We chatted of the old days where we first met when visiting our family members at Ridgewood Veterans Wing. She was a woman who helped lift the spirits of many with her caring attitude and positive outlook. Our loss, Heaven’s gain. Praying for you all at this time. Virginia and Bob Brown

Our deepest condolences to the family on your loss. Those of us at Saint Columba Presbyterian Church who had the pleasure of knowing Vi, will carry our many memories of her kindness and constant smile. I had the pleasure of working with Vi during our annual yard/bake sales as well as singing with her and her good friends May & Hazel in the choir for many years. There was always a sense of joy and laughter whenever Vi was around. She will be missed. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Lynn Hawkins and family

Vi was a member of Ukes 4 U,a senior ukulele group. Everyone loved her dearly! At a practice she got up to go to the washroom and as she did ,she gracefully danced out of the room as we were singing, We all loved it and asked her to do it everytime we sang that song, Ever since then, I always think of her when we sing that song "Wild Flowers ".She was a GREAT lady !! Our condolences to you !! Kay MacLean on behalf of the members of UKES 4 U

Sorry for your loss. Vi was such a bright light when she lived on the second floor of the Villa, the ladies really missed her when she moved. Family was so important to her , she was tickled pink when she found out my father in law was her cousin Bill, she shared so many stories about the time they spent together growing up. My fondest memory of Vi will be the poems she wrote for special days. Rest in peace, fair well until we meet again. Love from your cousin Bill ,Pam and our granddaughter Ashley who loved Vi' s hugs.

I'm so sorry to hear of Vi's passing! She was a lovely lady who I got to know in the early 2000's when I did a newsletter for the West Side called "West Side Story." Vi always said what she thought - that's the best way to be! I will miss you, Vi...

This one is going to hurt when it hits. My grandmother. My rock. My unwavering support. She made sure not to pass on my birthday, the 25th, such was our bond. This, I know. Nanny never left my side, no matter the miles between us when I chose my own path. Her love was my air. How can I breathe now? I will learn a new way...for Vi. RIP, my beautiful angel. I cannot yet fathom how much I am going to miss you, but I know how grateful I am to have had you as my grandmother. A match made in heaven... Until then, I sign off as i did for each of my hundreds of letters, "Your loving granddaughter, Suzanne Louise, Always and Forever." You are my soul.
