Obituary of Grace Tait

TAIT, Grace Delina – Peacefully with her family by her side, Grace D. Tait widow of the late Harold C. Tait passed away on Saturday April 13th 2013 in London Ontario at Mount Hope Nursing Home. Grace was a former resident of Carleton Kirk Place, Saint John, where she was part of the Carleton Kirk Tenants Association for a number of years. She was a former member of Main Street Baptist where she was involved with the Women’s Missionary Society and the Main Street Friendly Fellowship. She spent most of her life in Saint John. Born on October 19, 1913 in Killam Mills, Westmorland Co., Grace was a daughter of the late J. Clifford and Minnie Ida (Branscombe) O'Neal. Grace was predeceased by her parents and Husband, and several brothers and sisters, she was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her only child, Ruth and Joe Slierendrecht, of London,Ont. two Granddaughters, Susan and Chris Ferguson, of Windsor, Ont. and Nancy and Harley Engberts, of Dorchester,Ont. Four Great grandchildren, Bryce Engberts, Jayden Engberts, Alyssa Ferguson, and Kata Ferguson, special family members, Mel and Eileen Wilson, John and Janet Landry, Linda and Steve Moore, and Carolyn and Craig Burrill, and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. With visitation on Monday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 16th, 2013 at 11:00 am at Fallsview Chapel with Pastor. Herb Hunter officating. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.
