Obituary of Frederick McLaughlin
McLaughlin, Frederick “Carl” Passed away on Monday, June 20, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late James and Elizabeth McLaughlin. Carl served in the RCAF 1957-1960, Regular Force and was a 50 year member of the RCL #2 Saint John West. He worked at the Saint John Drydock and Irving Nature Park, and enjoyed and participated in music and sports. He is the last surviving member of his immediate family and was predeceased by his brothers, Leo, James, Stewart and Joseph and sisters, Anna Veronica Perry, Joan Shirley Earle, Marie Cobham and Catherine Leona Mary, in infancy. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, “Fallsview Chapel”, 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John West (634-1701). Visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 from 7-9 p.m. A Tribute to a Veteran Service will be held on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. Following cremation, Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. from Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, followed by a reception at the Fallsview Family Reception Center. Donations in memory of Carl, may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
